A song I definitely can’t get enough of recently, “Cuspcake” by Time Wharp, is a seriously melty and modernly funky mind trip. If you haven’t heard this yet, it’s so worth the 2:24 of your life… seriously. Go grab Time Wharp’s debut LP, later., for free on his Bandcamp. And if you’re a cassette tape aficionado, get this album via Wonder Beard Tapes. I’m certainly considering it now after hearing the sticky, infectious synth lines that are trademark to Time Wharp’s sound.
And who doesn’t love a good quality remix? My bro Chrome Sparks has been spitting out mad fire with all of his tracks over the recent months, and he didn’t disappoint with his remix of “Cuspcake” (here all the remixes here). I can’t get enough of this dance version either; I hope to hear it soon in Ann Arbor.
